Made in Italy. Once you take out the mast from its mast bag, do not be thinking that something is wrong. The ferrule is part of the top, and not part of the bottom anymore. Therefore, the rdm is now being called RDM-I. After testing with our wave team, the masts, we have discovered that landing hard flat or nosedive jumps, was creating extra stress to the top, where the ferrule would enter it. By having the ferrule being part of the top, the stress is taken out and the tops do not suffer the extra stress that could bring in the worst case to breakages. We have decided to clean up our RDM-I range by offering 3 very distinctive models. The K99, K91 and the K71 gradients of masts which are ready to astonish in performance and durability. The new K71 is able to adapt to most curves thanks to its design layers set up. A new rubber cap at the joints, to clean up the inside part of the mast from dirt, while uniting the top to the base.

The K71 offers good performance and enjoyment from any sail used with it. ‘I’ for INVERTED FERRULE. Meaning that the ferrule is attached to the top creating less leverage to the base when landing with impacts. This makes the K71 a stronger and more reactive mast in general thanks this extra feature. Save a bit of cash, and have a MADE IN ITALY mast where the focus is offering SAFETY & PERFORMANCE. The mast will ADAPTS TO ANY CURVE of ANY SAIL BRAND. This is thanks to the way and development done to displace the layers to release comfort and control in small sail sizes, and power and a breathing feeling for bigger size, not matter which sail.
WHY THIS MAST: A 71% carbon content with the same high carbon quality as the more expensive masts and produced to the exact Point-7 quality standards. A better choice against even a hIgher % carbon mast from a no name brand in terms of performance and safety.
